$750,000 APA National Team Championships!

Teams from across the US and Canada converge on Las Vegas, Nevada every year to compete for their share of the prize money.

The APA 8-Ball & 9-Ball National Team Championships are held every summer at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. The National Team Championships in combination with the APA National Singles Championships (held mid spring) and the U.S. Amateur Championship (held late fall) annually pay out more than $1 Million in cash and prizes.


But that's not the only way to get to Vegas!

In addition to team play, APA membership entitles you the ability to compete in these pre-registered events as well!

A low Entry Fee Could Earn you Big Winnings in Vegas!

The culmination of the APA Singles Program is the APA National Singles Championships, held every April at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This event consist of national singles competitions for both 8-Ball & 9-Ball.


APA 8-Ball Classic
Qualifying Windows:
December 1st - June 15th
(Season I National Qualifier - Fall)
June 16th - November 30th
(Season II National Qualifier - Spring)

  • 10-16 players per local tournament.
  • Players must be on an active 8-Ball Team.
  • Players must have at least ten (10) scores in their 8-Ball Record.
  • All Scores must have occurred within the last two (2) years
  • Local and National Tournaments are bracketed by Skill Level

Blue Tier

For Skill Levels 2 & 3

Yellow Tier

For Skill Levels 4 & 5

Purple Tier

For Skill Levels 6 & 7


The winner advances to the APA Amateur 8-Ball National Qualifier, the final step before advancing to the $200,000 Vegas Nationals and a chance at $15,000 first place.

Singles Qualifiers are held every Session at various host locations. You can also hold one on your own. Just give us a call.




APA 9-Ball Shootout
Qualifying Window:
December 1st - November 30th
(National Qualifier held in the Spring)

  • 10-16 players per local tournament.
  • Players must be on an active 9-Ball Team.
  • Players must have at least ten (10) scores in their 9-Ball Record.
  • All Scores must have occurred within the last two (2) years
  • Local and National Tournaments are bracketed by Skill Level:

Green Tier

For Skill Levels 1,2& 3

White Tier

For Skill Levels 4 & 5

Black Tier

For Skill Levels 6 - 9

Held in August each year with the National Team Championships in Las Vegas
Pre-Registration is required
Check the APA Calendar for scheduling
  • Alternate Shot
  • One coach per team per game will be allowed
  • Any combination of male/female teams
  • Modified Single Elimination
  • Maximum field is 256 entries (Size of board will be based on number of entries)
  • Must have at least 20 8-Ball scores
  • Must be on an active summer session APA roster in the 8-Ball Format
  • $100 Entry Fee per team
  • Skill Level Limit is 10



    APA 9-Ball Doubles Open Championship
    Held in August each year with the

      • Must be on an active spring session APA roster
      • $100 Entry Fee per team
      • Skill Level Limit is 10



        Held in August each year with the National Team Championships in Las Vegas
        Pre-Registration is required

        • 3 Persons Teams
        • A 4th player may be submitted with Entry Form
        • Teams may choose any three of the four team members to participate in each match
        • Any combination of male/female teams
        • Modified Single Elimination
        • Maximum field is 128 entries (size of board will be based on number of entries)
        • Must have at least 10 8-Ball or 9-Ball scores. (Scores can not be a combination of both formats)
        • Must be on an active summer session APA roster
        • $150 Entry Fee per team
        • No Skill Level Limit



          Held in August each year with the National Team Championships in Las Vegas

          • Players Seeded By Skill Level
          • Modified Single Elimination
          • Must have at least 20 8-Ball.
